Are there any places in Austin, TX that pay cash for blood or plasma donations? I'm sure there are. Look up 'plasma centers' in the yellow pages. Unlike blood, you can donate plasma two times in seven days. I think they are paying about thirty bucks a pop right now. It takes a couple of hours - be sure and bring your book! It's not bad unless your veins are hard to stick. They'll take a pint of blood, run it through a centrifuge to remove the plasma and then return the red blood cells. I wouldn't recommend it as a living, but I supplemented my income that way for a couple of years in my youth. Good luck! |
