Where do i apply for medicaid in austin tx?

i need a operation ,gall bladder removed a normal thing, don't have no one to turn too for help in paying the bill, i was told to apply for mecicaid, but in austin texas do i go

they should have a place called division of family sevices...and or a community center where you can go and ask where you apply for such aid in austin texas...

Taking out a gall bladder is NOT a normal thing. Gall bladders are important. I know two people who let the doctors talk them into removing theirs and they both have chronic and out of control diarrehea. Get a second opinion. Don't give up your gall bladder without a darn good reason...Medicaid or no Medicaid.

It depends on what area of town your are in. If you are north, you will need to go to Rutherford and Cameron Road to DHS. Call 211 and they can give you all the info you need. I have tried to apply as well, have a serious fracture of the heel, but was told I can not make over $168.00 a month. It might be different in your case, depending on the circumstances.
