Is Austin overrated?

Austin, TX is known for being "quirky". Is it really "quirky" or are they just posers?

Well, as a native Austinite I would say that we are definitely maturing past the quirky. There are still remnants left who sport "keep austin weird" bumper stickers but their numbers are dwindling.

We are currently more business oriented, have lots of singles who have good jobs, and have an upscale feel to the city as a whole.

its different... its weird! nah just kidding... i think its because there are a lot of young college kids and a lot of them are all punked out... like with converse shoes and colored hair and band t shirts on...

Austin is only the greatest city in the world. I live 2 hours from there, and I visit every chance I get. It's one of the most diversified cities on the planet. Plus, it's the home of the TEXAS LONGHORNS!!!

it is not that wierd...I just moved here for southern Cali....it is a cool city, lots of music. And to the guy that hates it and thinks it is gay F*** You!!
