When is it mandatory for double time to be paid to an employee after how many hours?

it depends on the company. I used to work for a company that payed that on Sundays and holidays. Usually after 40 hours you get time and a half though.

i don't know about double time, but most employers pay time and a half for everything after 40 hours in a week.

There is no mandatory double time unless it is in a contract that you are working under. I am in a union, and by our contract, anything on Sunday's or Holidays are double time, but that is the only times we get it.

I don't think there is a set number of hours. You get time and a half for overtime, double for Sunday, triple for holidays.

I know fedex gives double after 60, but not sure if it's the law, dont think there is one that requires employers to give double.

After 40 hrs during a work week usually. Some companies will pay after 8 hrs in a day, but most don't. Of course, this does not apply to salary positions which do not have to get overtime.
