You stated you want to be employed in the secretarial field. This is a very competitive market and a truly good secretary is worth his or her weight in gold. The most widely used office application is Microsoft. Therefore the first thing I would recommend is that you get a Microsoft certification. SBStechnology has an assessment test that will help you determine how proficient you really are. No 21st century office operation will not consider you seriously without some level of certification. If you go to www.ajc.com/jobs and in the search box type in the job you want they will list all jobs in and around ATL. Then you can choose the distance from a certain area (Lets say a 5 mile radius from Downtown Atlanta) and it will show you only the jobs in that area.

Go to www.yellowpages.com enter temporary employment
use your sorting skills to rule out the ones that say they do only medical or labor, or industrial and your phone skills to call the 5 nearest you and you'll probably find at least one that has secretarial openings.
