I am moving to atlanta,ga and i am tryin to find a job where do i start?

Atlanta has an active job market but also a lot of job seekers. A good starting place is www.ajc.com (Atlanta Journal Constitution) for classfied ads and also to get a feel of the city. If you need an entry level to lower management job consider finding which temporary employment services in your area have offices in Atlanta and register with a few of them, Temp services never charge you a fee. Many Atlanta jobs are filled on a temp to permanemt basis through these agencies and getting all your screening and skill tests out of the way there will speed things up. If you are looking for professional level work check the Atlanta Business Chronicle too atlanta.bizjournals.com/atlanta

To get ready for the search be sure your resume is up to date and looks good...is easy to read and advertises your value to the potential employer not just lists stuff you did. Everyone does something right sometime make sure yours shows what you did right. A simple one line statement will do it and set you apart from and above the ppl who just send lists or jobs they worked and don't build value into the way they present themselves. While you adrfe at it start asking everyone you know "who do you know in Atlanata" "What do they do" you can prolly get some email or IM or phonbe intros and have some ppl keeping their eyes oppen for yhe right job for you,. If you are in a professiopnal field join the trade associations, read the publications print or net that tell who is growing who is shrinking and where the jobs may be.

Decide in your own mind what kind of job you want and what kind of company (large with lots of benefite, small with a family type atmosphere, a place where you will have one basic responsibility or one where you can learn a lot of different skills. Put together 2-3 good interviewing outfits. If money is tight check the resale shops. Atlanta is a bit less formal than some cities but you still need a suit or equivelent for professional jobs and a neat skirt or pants outfit for more casual ones.

I'd start by looking online at the main Atlanta newspaper. Find the local surrounding cities, and look for their newspaper's online as well. If there's a particular field your in, try looking up those company sites online to see how to apply for those companies.

Start with online searches such as monster.com, americasjobbank.com, and also search for the state of Georgia job link along with one for the city of Atlanta, and the county you will be living in. The online search engines will let you search by city and vocation.

Good luck!

I would look online for the newspapers in the area you are moving to and see if anything is hiring. I dont know what field you are into, otherwise I could give you a few websites. I would also look into yahoo classifieds, just enter the zip code. You can also try Monster.com, Jobs.com. My hubby is a truck driver and he said try ClassAdrivers.com if you drive.
Also try goin to the unemployment offices in the area you are moving too. The chamber of commerce office can also help.

welcome depending on where you live at all of the jobs are in alpharetta i would look on careerbuilder and the jobsite.org depending on what you want to do i have been here 3 years and have only got jobs through temp agencies so good luck
