Who is Pat Haines with NME (TVGuide) Clearwater. Fl.?

I received a notice concerning a Sweepstakes offer. I never enter anything like this when offered through mail or phone. Would like to know if legitimate, and if there are any more details. Notice says it is sponsored by NME. Who is NME. ? That is most important.

Sorry it's a ripoff. The name Pat Haines has been around magazine promotions for at least 26 years and there may never have been a real person or there may have. I quit a job that many yrs ago w/ a co that used that sweepstakes scam to sell magazines. Used the same name too. Apparently thingts haven't changed,. Sheesh you'd think they could at least invent a new name

NME is National Magazine Exchange. I can't agree that all Mag sales are a scam and ppl do have a very real responsibility to listen and pay attention to what they are offered and what the price is. But some of the "offers" are really not values at all any more than they were all those yrs ago. Apparently ppl are still buying tho, folks not as smart as you.

Although the previous answer seems to have covered everything you asked about, I just wanted to let you know that I have also received this nonsense offer. I looked into it, and it's definitely a scam. Sorry. Don't feel bad though, because it completely fooled me at first.
