Best cable and high speed internet company in Atlanta? |
Just moved to Atlanta (DeKalb County, near Emory University), and am looking to set up basic cable TV and broadband connection for internet. I would like to avoid Comcast, as I've had so many unpleasant and frustrating experiences with them. What are my other options? Who do you have, and do you like them? Good customer service a big plus! Comcast are the only cable providers, unfortunately in the metro area. Other areas, there is Charter. I use Bellsouth and you could get their package deal with directv, local/long distance service, and wireless or whatever package you would like to add. I have bellsouth and they are great. I do like them because they don't have to automatically charge my service to a credit card, like earthlink. I have no contract with bellsouth, directv is great because it is satellite and when the thunderstorms hit, it doesn't go out! And you can get sports packages which are better than the sports packages better than dish network. Customer Service with Directv IS AWESOME! They will work with you until the problem is fixed, if there is one! I use Bellsouth, too - DSL. I've used Mindspring (Earthlink now - but their customer service really sucked, so I went back to Bellsouth.) Comcast is really your only choice for cable. I use bellsouth for my internet, and I've never had a problem with them. I did a price comparison when I first moved here, and DSL was a lot cheaper than a cable internet connection. Since I haven't had any problems with my internet, I don't really have an opinion on the customer service. |
