I have got an offer of 5000 us dollar in atlanta,georgia.is it sufficient for me ?

it depends, is that a lump sum at first then get more pay checks? In Atlanta prices for apartments can be anywhere from $500-LOTS a month, I just depends on where you need to live. Try googling Atlanta apartments and you will get an idea for a price range. Plus, is the $5,000 including your passport, air fare and any taxi or bus rides to get to Atlanta? We need more information regarding the offer. $5000 in Atlanta would cover possibly 5 months rent and nothing else. Please provide more information.

By the way, what Jessica meant to say is "without" a car, but don't expect to get around on a bike to easily in Atlanta, for safety sake.

Is this a relocation fee? If so depending on the salary weekly or monthly probably it would be sufficient IF the co is handling all the needs you have for documentation, legal US work papers etc. If that is a monthly salary it should be fine if you have the funds fir relaocation and if the co is handling legalities re work documents. That would be the high side of Atlanta middle professional salaries. Do please be sure that the companies obligations about entry and work visas and green cards etc are clearly sprlled out in writing. Many have been unfairly treated in that sort of thing.
