What type of questions should I ask the employer during the interview?

I have an interview later on today for an administrative assistant position at a case management company who help clients under the HUD Disaster Housing Assistance Program. What type of questions should I ask during the interview that'll make me sound highly interested in the position?

How did you find me?
May I have a written job description?
Where is the position located?
After you present my resume, when can I expect to hear from you regarding the status of this position?
Can you describe, specifically, how the company navigates/balances work? and personal-life issues?

I guess you should never say "Not thanks, I have no questions". I strongly suggest you to learn more about the company you are applying for such as checking on their website, newspaper, articles, etc. and try to ask questions related with what you have researched and by doing that you will impress the interviewer because it means that you did prepare yourself. You could ask questions like:

1) I learnt through the newspaper your company plans to expand their operations to another city by 2009, then my question is what about the employees? are employees going to be relocated as well because I am willing to relocate with no problem

What is the most challenging /demanding part of this position?

What do you find is the most rewarding part of this position?

What types of responsibilities will I gain as this job progresses?

When will the position be filled?

What are some of the more demanding aspects of the job?

What sort of people do you come in contact with everyday?

What are some of the more notable experiences you have personally had?

When are the hours? Roughly, what is the offered salary?

Regardless of what you ask, just stay interested. I'm sure during the interview, you'll be able to come up with questions. It sounds like an interesting job. You can always ask about the rewards/benefits that the interviewer has personally experienced while working there. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll come up with a few good questions on your own.

Good Luck!!!!!!

wait, are you interviewing someone or being interviewed?

This might help - its a cheat sheet for both interviewers and interviewees.

What shift, days, hours I will be assigned? Full-Time or Part-Time? How many supervisors would I report to? Length of training? Parking? Bus passes? Cell phone policy?
